Job description

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have:

• Two years experience as Demi Chef de Partie in a 4 or 5 star branded hotel.

• Well experienced in International cuisine (a la carte and banqueting) and good knowledge of Indian and Asian dishes.

• Creative, team player, with good attention to details and eager to progress.

• Good level of English (verbal & written)

• Knowledgeable in HACCP.

• Diploma in culinary

Your responsibilities:

•Prepare the daily mis-en-place and supervise work of Commis, ensuring a safe, smooth running and profitable operation within the framework of the hotel.

•Support the development of restaurant concepts and standards. Be familiar with local market & suppliers. Recommend menu changes (especially for Indian and Asian dishes) according to seasonal product availability.

•Adhere to Flora food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests.

•Participate in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels. Develop team members especially Commis to reach their potential.

•Contribute to controlling costs and wastage.

•Maintain food safety & hygiene at all times.
