OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:

 

Responsible that the receiving procedures of all arriving items are being followed.   Ensures that goods correspond to the quantities and quality ordered.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·         Responsible for proper storage of all food, beverage, supplies and operating equipment until these are issued to the operation.

 

·       Receives merchandise in accordance to the approved purchase requests/orders and the daily market list.

 

·       Verifies that the merchandise received corresponds to the quantities and quality ordered.   Ensures that the quality of food items is being checked by the designated chef and the F&B Controller prior to accepting the merchandise.

 

·       Applies the receiving stamp on invoices and delivery notes.   Fills in a “goods received without delivery note” form in case the merchandise has been delivered without.

 

·       Ensures the prompt removal of received merchandise from the receiving area against appropriate signature in the receiving stamp (store room or direct issue).

 

·       Checks the unit prices and the accuracy of additions and extensions in the invoices.

 

·       Notifies the concerned recipients in case merchandises were not accepted, in case of short delivery or in case delivery schedules have not been met.

 

·       Assists the head of stores in the monthly inventories.

 

·       Carries out other duties that may from time to time be delegated to him by the Head Storekeeper or the F&B Controller.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

·       Experience:     Minimum two years’ experience as a stores Supervisor at a 5 star hotel.

 

·       Education:      High school diploma;

 

·       General Skills:     Team player , hard worker , positive attitude

 

·       Technical Skills:           Sun system knowledge , Birchstreet   system will be a plus

 

·       Language:      Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency, other languages preferred.

 

·       Physical Requirements:     Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting _____ pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.

 

·       Licenses & Certifications: HACCP certified
