Seamstress/Uniform Room AttendantSalary: not specifiedApply onlineOVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
To assist t in d irecting a smooth operation and maintain the highest standards of Cleanliness and Service in Housekeeping Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Demonstrate Rosewood Responsibilities and Core Values in my daily work.
· To be able to take initiative and work productively within any given period of time, and must work well under pressure. W ork flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary.
· To maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
· To attend daily line-ups within Department.

· To promote a helpful and professional image to the internal and external customer.
· To use guest names at all times.
· To report to work within the requested time, prior to the commencement of duty, well groomed and dressed to the uniform standard.
· To ensure to utilize training’s received.
· To be responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies.
· To follow Company’s Standards Policies & Procedures.
· To maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service Procedures
· & Standards.
· To be aware of the Hotel Management, their Office location, role and availability.
· To have a good knowledge of all the different types of Rooms, Hotel facilities, and hours of operation, Restaurants, Shops and Function rooms.
· To be well informed about special Functions and events held in the hotel on a daily basis .
· To cover the uniforms demand assembled every day, until to cover the regular operation
of the internal guest, classifying by color, tag number belonging to each department.
· To assemble each piece of uniform one by one, setting these ones, all complete in the conveyor according to each department.
· To verify that the uniforms of the Internal Guests who work in the hotel, meet the standards of dress code.
· To check buttons, sippers, torn of each uniform, making sure that this is perfect and ready for the good usage.
· To make quality checks of uniforms and that is sent to the washing process, completely clean and pocket checked to avoid damage with pens, tag names, nails, nibs and sharp objects.
· To make quality checks of uniform is sent to sewing workshop area, to check for any damage , such as sipper, buttons and torn, replacement or in bad conditions.
· To attend and provide the uniforms to the entire new internal guest for their personal usage during their work time.
· To mark with the right personal labels one by one, each of the uniforms for the entire internal guest according to each code department.
· To replace all uniforms in bad conditions as well as inform that this is out of service, keeping the par stock of 2 uniforms for each internal guest.
· To keep enough par stock of uniforms in the store room for replace them as well, to make sure to help or assist with the purchase orders according with the annual budget.
· To assist in the preparation of purchase orders for uniforms for various departments of the hotel, with attention to the details of fabrication, measurements, models, etc.
· To attend repair service guest laundry, paying particular attention to the details requested by the guest.
· To ensure sewing equipment receives the adequate preventive maintenance service, as well as preparing the report for maintenance.
· To keep the work areas clean, neat and immaculate before and after work.
· To promote and maintain the sense of work place according to respect, discipline, attendant, punctuality and compromise.
· To make sure to apply all emergencies procedures established in the laundry department in case of fire, bomb threat etc. turn off the equipment before leaving the department and meet with all co-workers in the meeting point as soon as possible
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar position.
Education: High school diploma.
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of laundry/dry cleaning equipment and chemical handling; knowledge of finishing techniques for all types of fabrics; ability to operate all machinery in laundry/wet cleaning areas; ability to follow directions; ability to remain extremely alert while operating machinery; ability to exert physical effort in the movement of bundles of soiled/cleaned bed linens, terry and food & beverage linens into/out of laundry machines; ability to endure working in areas of high temperatures with accumulations of lint.
Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
