Department
The Housekeeping Department's responsibility is to clean guest rooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for sale. Clean occupied guest rooms. The Housekeeping department is responsible for the Inspecting assigned areas in order to provide feedback to management and employees on the cleanliness and maintenance of those areas against standards.
Job Description
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the following tasks: oMaintain company's image portraying a neat and tidy appearance and correct wearing of uniform, following strictly the hotels' personal hygiene policy. oEnsures key control procedures are maintained. oEstablish daily planning assignments for the day rooms assignments, turn-down attendants, evening cleaners and housemen. oCheck room's day service and turn-down service daily and completes the evening turn-down check lists periodically. oLiaises closely with Front Office to be aware of late arrivals, early arrivals for the following day, VIP rooms and special requests. oListens to employee grievances and/or wishes and brings them to the attention of the Director of Housekeeping oGives feed back of employees work performance to the Director of Housekeeping oChecks equipment and pantries at the end of the shift and ensures cleanliness and correct storage of guest supplies and cleaning supplies. oEnsures that the handover given between morning and evening shift is correctly made and all instructions are given in the log book. oCoordinate frequently with the Order taker on the status of rooms on your floors. Inform Room Attendants immediately of check out rooms. oNote the Lost & found enquires/ valuables in Guest room. oUpdates Room status and Guest discrepancies all the time and reports to F/O.
Requirements
High school or equivalent education required. Three to Four years related experience, including at least two years of supervisory experience.
