Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year working experience in 5* hotel in front of house operation.

• Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), additional languages are an asset

• Must be computer literate in Microsoft Windows and MS Office suite

• Able to type 25 words per minute.

• Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated verbal & written communication skills

• Must be guest-oriented, have a vibrant personality, and radiate enthusiasm to assist people

• Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment

• Must be flexible in terms of working hours, and able to work with little or no supervision

• Must have the ability to assess and make decisions based on strong, analytical, problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Welcomes and assists residents and guests’ according to IFARES Standards

• Maintains a perpetual presence on the Concierge Desk throughout the hours of the shift

• Remains observant, notes preferences of the residents & guests, and responds accordingly to inquiries & requests

• Ensures prompt, efficient and updated recording of mails, parcels, and messages.

• Assists guests with enquiries regarding excursions, visitor attractions and places of interest

• Reports suspicious people, behavior, parcels and vehicles to Security

• Ensures adherence to IFARES Code of Ethics

Concierge Agent
The knowledge of a great Concierge Agent is the expectation of our Guests when staying at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Your ability to anticipate Guests’ needs and make informed suggestions will ensure they have a truly memorable stay.

Hotel Overview: 

Fairmont Palm Jumeirah is a world-class property opening on the 1st September 2012 on the iconic Palm Island in Dubai.  The hotel will feature 381 guest rooms and suites with two Fairmont Gold floors.  A total of eight food and beverage outlets on property will offer international dining options including Szechwan cuisine, a Brazilian steak house plus separate cigar and wine bars.  The property will be positioned as a Luxury Hotel joining other internationally branded hotels on the ‘island’, which will generate tremendous anticipation both in the UAE and worldwide.  In addition, the high regard that the Fairmont brand is afforded in the region will result in very high expectations for flawless service delivery from day-one. 

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chef Concierge, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

Assist guests with mail, messages, and any plans or arrangements they require

Assist with any plans or arrangements the guest intends to make during their stay

Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way

Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

Follow all safety policies 

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous customer related experience an asset

Must possess a professional presentation

Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal & written communication skills

Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Highly responsible & reliable

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team

Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 

Frequent standing and walking throughout shift

Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Fairmont Gold, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm, anticipative service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning Guests

Register Guests, allocates rooms and accommodates special requests of Guests

Assist in pre-registration and allocation of room reservations

Provide Guests with directions and information about attractions & facilities in or outside of the Hotel

Accommodate Guest reservations for air or other forms of transportation; obtaining necessary itinerary and tickets

Accommodate Guest reservations for restaurants, theaters, and other forms of entertainment when requested

Obtain necessary tickets, arranges transportations and provides directions to facilities

Do Meet and Greet of the Guest in the lobby and provides an In-Room check-in

Effectively take care of pre-arrival, pre-departure & post departure calls for the FG Guests

Able to assist FG servers with the basic F&B lounge operations when needed

Coordinate Guest requests for special services with the appropriate department

Contact in-house Guests periodically to ascertain any special needs and ascertains Guest satisfaction

Handle Guest complaints and solves problems to the degree possible

Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, and cash-handling policies and procedures

Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager

Participate in the orientation, meeting, and training process of all colleagues assigned to Fairmont Gold

Remain observant, notes preference, and responding accordingly to Guest inquiries & requests

Follow Occupational Health & Safety regulations
