Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Fairmont Gold, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Provide exceptional Concierge information to our guests about local and area attractions, restaurants, theatres, special events, tickets, confirmations and other available services Develop and maintain strong Guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty Develop and maintain contacts with business partners, concessionaires, local community and counterparts of Fairmont Gold throughout Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Assist Guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way Address Guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper departments Ambassador of Fairmont Dubai by providing memorable Guest experiencesDemonstrate a commitment to provide warm, anticipative service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning Guests
Register Guests, allocates rooms and accommodates special requests of Guests
Assist in pre-registration and allocation of room reservations
Provide Guests with directions and information about attractions & facilities in or outside of the Hotel
Accommodate Guest reservations for air or other forms of transportation; obtaining necessary itinerary and tickets
Accommodate Guest reservations for restaurants, theaters, and other forms of entertainment when requested
Obtain necessary tickets, arranges transportations and provides directions to facilities
Do Meet and Greet of the Guest in the lobby and provides an In-Room check-in
Effectively take care of pre-arrival, pre-departure & post departure calls for the FG Guests
Able to assist FG servers with the basic F&B lounge operations when needed
Coordinate Guest requests for special services with the appropriate department
Contact in-house Guests periodically to ascertain any special needs and ascertains Guest satisfaction
Handle Guest complaints and solves problems to the degree possible
Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, and cash-handling policies and procedures
Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager
Participate in the orientation, meeting, and training process of all colleagues assigned to Fairmont Gold
Remain observant, notes preference, and responding accordingly to Guest inquiries & requests
Follow Occupational Health & Safety regulations
Qualifications:
Must possess a professional presentation Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Ability to work cohesively as part of a team Ability to focus attention on Guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Must possess outstanding Guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated verbal & written communication skills Must be Guest-oriented, have a vibrant personality, and radiate enthusiasm to assist people Proficient in the English language (verbal & written) with a second or third language as an asset Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment Must be flexible in terms of working hours, and able to work with little or no supervision Able to type 25 words per minute 2 years minimum experience in customer service A hospitality diploma is an asset Computer literacy in Windows, MS Office Suite, Opera 5 and Fidelio PMS systems is recommended Must have the ability to handle cash effectively and accuratelyPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
Frequent standing and walking during the shift Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, sitting Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsVisa Requirements: Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Dubai. We will assist successful applicants with the visa process and provide flights and accommodation
