Fairmont Bab Al Bahr a beachfront business resort, will feature 369 rooms and suites, a variety of restaurants, and a wide selection of conference and leisure facilities including Willow Stream the Spas at Fairmont. At Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our Guests and visitors is an integral part of our operations. As a Steward, your attentiveness and commitment to hygiene and Health & Safety will ensure a safe dining experience for   our Guests

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Assistant Chief Steward, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:            

Make sure all garbage bins are emptied

Keep updated with all items on the communication board

Report for the duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards

Act and promote hotel culture and philosophy when dealing with fellow Colleagues and Guests and be a gentleman with all your peers

Promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with all Colleagues

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Check and ensure that the dishwashing machine is clean and ready for use at the beginning and the end of all shifts

Follow schedule for water changes

Ensure you sign in and out before and after shift

Keep all back of the house areas tidy and organized at all times, free of unnecessary equipment.

Return unused equipment to its intended location or store

Ensure all Ecolab sanitizing stations are stocked  with spray bottles

Make sure there is a sufficient supply of chemicals to last for the day

Return the chemicals to store at the end of the day. Be aware of its cost. Respect the environment

Work efficient and inform your Supervisor in time in case you cannot finish your work

Work positively together with all contractors

Hotel Overview: 

Fairmont Palm Jumeirah is a world-class property opening on the 1st September 2012 on the iconic Palm Island in Dubai.  The hotel will feature 381 guest rooms and suites with two Fairmont Gold floors.  A total of eight food and beverage outlets on property will offer international dining options including Szechwan cuisine, a Brazilian steak house plus separate cigar and wine bars.  The property will be positioned as a Luxury Hotel joining other internationally branded hotels on the ‘island’, which will generate tremendous anticipation both in the UAE and worldwide.  In addition, the high regard that the Fairmont brand is afforded in the region will result in very high expectations for flawless service delivery from day-one. 

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chef Concierge, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

Assist guests with mail, messages, and any plans or arrangements they require

Assist with any plans or arrangements the guest intends to make during their stay

Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way

Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

Follow all safety policies 

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous customer related experience an asset

Must possess a professional presentation

Must possess outstanding guest services skills and sophisticated verbal & written communication skills

Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Fairmont Gold, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

Demonstrate a commitment to provide warm, anticipative service to exceed the needs and expectations of our discerning Guests

Register Guests, allocates rooms and accommodates special requests of Guests

Assist in pre-registration and allocation of room reservations

Provide Guests with directions and information about attractions & facilities in or outside of the Hotel

Accommodate Guest reservations for air or other forms of transportation; obtaining necessary itinerary and tickets

Accommodate Guest reservations for restaurants, theaters, and other forms of entertainment when requested

Obtain necessary tickets, arranges transportations and provides directions to facilities

Do Meet and Greet of the Guest in the lobby and provides an In-Room check-in

Effectively take care of pre-arrival, pre-departure & post departure calls for the FG Guests

Able to assist FG servers with the basic F&B lounge operations when needed

Coordinate Guest requests for special services with the appropriate department

Contact in-house Guests periodically to ascertain any special needs and ascertains Guest satisfaction

Handle Guest complaints and solves problems to the degree possible

Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, and cash-handling policies and procedures

Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager

Participate in the orientation, meeting, and training process of all colleagues assigned to Fairmont Gold

Dispatcher
